A Secret Heart - Part 9

Later prithvi came to know that maya got tc and left the college forever. He tried to contact her and failed in all his attempts. He was worried. Sruthi was happy and thought that now no one is there to separate prithvi from her. She tried to divert prithvi to her side slowly. But prithvi has no interest in sruthi. Time flew away. On the final day of their college life, sruthi came to prithvi.

Sruthi: Prithvi, I wanna tell you something

Prithvi: Tell sruthi

Sruthi: I don’t know how to tell you, but I have to tell you anyway… I love you prithvi.

                Prithvi was shocked.

Prithvi: Sruthi, you know I love maya, what rubbish are you talking now?? Don’t make fun of me.

Sruthi: Prithvi, listen seriously am in love with you… I am not joking.

Prithvi: you are my best friend. I can’t think of you more than that. I love no one except maya. I will find her again and bring her back in my life.

Sruthi: She din’t love you and she too know that am loving you…

Prithvi: What….? Maya knew it already? You are the reason why she left me without informing (angrily) now I know well.

Sruthi: Yessss, I told her to stay away from us and about our love. So she left.

                Prithvi gave a hard slap on sruthi’s face. Sruthi dint expect it.

Prithvi: Idiot, not our love… I dint think that you are so selfish to spoil my love. Because of you I lost my love and suffered these much days. Get lost, we are not even friends from now. Don’t ever try to contact me again. Good bye.

                Prithvi left. Sruthi burst into tears. She felt bad because of her selfish nature. She lost her best friend forever.

                She thought, “I did all this for my love only, but I took a wrong way to get success in my love. I shouldn’t have killed their love for my happiness. I deserve this… sorry prithvi I hurt you a lot by separating maya from you. I won’t come in your life again. I am going away forever”.

Next day morning, prithvi saw maya standing in his college campus. He went near her,

Prithvi: Hi maya

Maya: Hiii, how did you know my name??(with surprise in her eyes)

Prithvi: It’s a magic (winked at her)

Maya: I know, you saw it in my note yesterday.

Prithvi: You are brilliant (he smiled), so what are you doing here in my college? Are you joining here?

Maya: No, I applied for lecturer post here.

Prithvi: Lecturerrrr….(he shocked)

Maya: Why are you shocking? Am I not look like a lecturer?

Prithvi: Nooo… you are very young. So I thought you as a student. Sorry…

Maya: You are right..am not a lecturer.

                (Both laughed)

Prithvi: Thank god (he murmured) shall I know for what purpose are you here?

Maya: My dad got transferred to this city and we are shifted. So I came here for my admission. Now I have to search my class.

Prithvi: Oh well, tell me the details of your course I will help you to find.

Maya: Thank you so much. Second yr IT.

Prithvi: Hey its my class…we are now classmates (he said excitedly) follow me to our class.

Maya followed him to class. Before they reach the class, prithvi’s mobile beeped for a message and it was from sruthi saying that “Where are you? I waited for you in the corridor for a long time. Come to class soon”. He replied her “Wait for a surprise”. Prithvi told maya to wait outside the class and went to sruthi.

Sruthi: What surprise? (in confusion)

Prithvi: Wait a min.

                He called maya into the class and said “Surprise”.

Sruthi was shocked again to see maya coming along with prithvi.

“Wake up maya, its already late for your college“

On hearing her mom’s voice,

“Please mom just ten more mins”, maya said moaningly.

“It won’t be nicer, if you go to college late on the very first day. Wake up and get ready”

Maya woke up and went to take a refreshing shower.

After shower, she got ready and hurried to move to her college.

“Bye mom, I am going”, said maya in a hurry bury mood.

“No stop, you are not going anywhere without taking breakfast”, maya’s mom rushed out from kitchen with a plate of dosa in it.

“Mom, it’s late, I will have it in college canteen. Cya love you”, maya run towards bus stop without waiting for an answer from her mom.

Finally she got into a bus which is almost full and no place to seat. She managed to stand by holding the bars of the bus. When the bus started to move, she missed the balance and dropped the coins in her hand, which she kept for taking ticket on a boy’s head, who was sitting in the seat and immersed in reading a book.

“Ouch”, screamed the boy.

Maya said,“Oh I am sorry”.

Rubbing his head with one hand, without moving his eyes from book, the boy replied, “It’s ok”.

After sometime, the boy screamed again.

Boy: Ouch

Maya: What happened now?

Boy: Awww, my foot

Maya: You see, it’s not fair, I already apologize to you for my mistake and still you are shouting?

          Suddenly maya realized that she was stepping on the foot of the boy and moved a little.

Maya: I…I am sorry, I really dint…..it was by accident.

Boy: Ateast now you saw.

          The boy closed the book and raised his head to see her.

          Maya blinked helplessly and uttered, “Sorrrry, please sorry”.

          He was stunned.

A Valentine Surprise

Rohit and ritika were friends from class 8. As time goes they become good friends and they are at the end of their school life now. They are from different classes but never failed to meet each other at breaks and after school.

They both know they love each other but never expressed it to each other before because they dint wish to face the risk of losing their friendship.

When they came to know they are going to be placed in different colleges, rohit decided to propose ritika on this valentine’s day.

On the day before valentine’s day, ritika saw rohit was tensed and quite nervous. Rohit said ,”Ritika I wanna tell you something”. Ritika felt butterflies fluttering in her stomach and she was expecting for those three words from him. She looked his face with excitement. When their eyes meet, rohit lost his mind in ritika’s beautiful smile and he searched for the words to express his love but he couldn’t utter even a single word to her. He said, “Nothing, I will talk to you later” and moved to his class.

Ritika understands from rohit’s behavior that he was so nervous to tell those words to her. At night, rohit was thinking about how he gonna propose her next day and thought he need a rehearsal for proposing her next day. So he practiced some proposal expressions before the mirror in his room and finds himself so funny.

Suddenly he got a call from an unknown number. When he picked it, he heard ritika’s voice, “hi rohit, it’s me ritika, would you mind if I make an appointment with you at this time?”  Rohit was shocked and asked , “At this time, how?”

“Just look down from your window” she said. He opened the window in his room and saw ritika standing in his favorite pink dress. He ran down quickly to her.

“I want our first day of love to be something special, unique and unforgettable, so I came to meet you”. She kissed him on cheeks and whispered “I Love You” in his ears under the moon light in the street.

He was filled with full of sweet shocks and surprises. He got his first and best valentine’s day gift in his life.
